Luther Court Society has established a special program entitled “Butterflies Are Free” for our residents who are at or nearing the end of their lives.  The program was developed based on our philosophy of care and incorporates a multi-faceted approach.

The sole purpose of this program is to provide comfort and dignity to those residents so that their end of life experience is pain free, is as comfortable as possible and honours the wishes of the resident. 

We attempt to achieve this purpose through early identification during the “Butterfly Watch” process; then once admitted to the program; following the three stages of the Butterflies Are Free Program.
